Pitfalls in High Rise Building Pressure Control

Miles Ryan, P.E., will be presenting on the pitfalls in high rise building pressure control. Accurate readings of building pressures at various elevations in high rise buildings are critical for proper building pressure control. The complexity for how such readings are taken by a BAS, presents many opportunities for issues to occur, which can directly impact the TAB process. This presentation will demystify the complex approach often taken to obtain such pressure readings, point out potential pitfalls which may hinder accuracy, as well as will discuss other mitigation strategies for addressing Stack Effect in tall buildings.
